Hispanicize and DiMe Media announced the finalists of the 3rd Annual Hispanicize Tecla Awards, the most prestigious national honor highlighting the achievements of top Latino and multicultural content creators.

The 2017 Tecla Awards feature several new categories including The Jewel Award for Social Good and the Super Creators, as well as categories for influencers from Health and Wellness to Beauty and Digital Journalism.

The actual winners of the 3rd Annual Tecla Awards will be determined by The Hispanicize Tecla Awards Gold Academy, a panel of judges consisting of marketing, PR and social media executives, creators, and other experts in the digital media industry. Winners will be revealed the night of April 6th, 2017 during the Hispanicize Tecla Awards ceremony, which will be streamed live from Miami for viewers worldwide and marks the closing event for Hispanicize 2017.

“Latino and multicultural digital creators continue building highly engaged communities of followers that turn to them for everyday advice, humor, tips and even what to cook. The Hispanicize Tecla Awards recognize that dedication to delivering quality content in culturally relevant ways and in bilingual formats,” said Cristy Clavijo-Kish, Chief Development Officer of Hispanicize Media Group and 2017 Tecla Awards Chair.

This year the Teclas received more than 1,500 nominations, nearly four times more than for the inaugural 2015 competition, and represents a fantastic line-up of talented Latino and multicultural content creators.

‘Earlier this month we announced that this year’s Hispanicize Tecla Awards show is moving to the historic Olympia Theatre, South Florida’s most iconic performing arts center. The awards show will feature top musical acts and celebrity co-hosts and award presenters; it’s going to be a truly game-changing year,” added Katherine Johnson-Gunn, Hispanicize Media Group Senior Vice President & Partner and Tecla Awards Executive Producer.
